About the Game
Hop in your muscle car, ignore the speed limit, and take down crime lords in this high-speed combat driving game.
Go up against a militant crime syndicate in this combat driving game. And this time it’s in a suped up '84 Camaro with weapons designed for payback. Speed down the roads to put an end to the evil Shadow Lotus Gang's reign of terror. Take down Don Julio, Hank the Hammer, Boom Blade Billy, and Colonel Krueger, but try not to get the attention of the corrupt cops.
Be aware of the civilian traffic: If destroyed they give negative points. If you kill too many of them, you may have to face the consequences...
Enemies will drop power ups like health, armor, and various weapons. You can always carry two weapons at the same time, but ammo is limited. The basic gun has unlimited ammo but does little damage so conserve your power weapons.

Game Rules
Overdrive is a combat driving shooter that puts you in the driver’s seat of a pimped out Camaro. Fighting through waves of enemies and earning power-ups can make you strong enough to fight the boss.
Destroying enemies earns you better weaponry. As you shoot down enemy cars, you will notice that they usually drop bonus items for you to pick up. You can pick up extra health, extra armor, or a weapon. After you pick up your first weapon, you can press the “toggle weapons” button to equip it. Weapon-pickups are not set as your current weapon by default because they have limited ammo or special functions that you might not want to waste. For instance, the machine gun is good for about twenty seconds of constant fire, or can be used selectively to make it last longer. If you drive over a weapon that you already have, you will get that weapon’s ammo.
With the exemption of armor-piercing attacks, one point of armor will deflect one hit regardless of its magnitude. If you don’t have any armor, vehicle collisions and weapons will inflict huge amounts of damage. Be very careful not to collide with other traffic. Collisions can damage you a lot: especially at high speeds. Enemies take damage from collisions too. One tactic involves loading up on armor and ramming enemies. It’s rumored that some enemies are impervious to traditional weapons and can only be destroyed by ramming.
Your car will stay in whatever lane you change to. Tapping left or right will change to the adjacent lane. Longer taps (or scrolls) will move you further. You can also change your speed with the up and down buttons. Use your speed to get out of tight situations, or to help get you into position for attack. Your Camaro is very maneuverable and has very good acceleration, take advantage of your it’s good handling to take less damage, or inflict more.
Depending on which device you are using (BlackBerry, phone, etc), you might find that actions are mapped to multiple keys, so experiment to find the best controls to use. You should always be able to hold the fire key and still be able to hit up, down, left, or right without releasing fire. Make sure you know where the “toggle weapons” button is, too.
Use the “escape” or “back” key to return to the menu and pause the game. If you’re running the game after having quit your last session, you’ll begin at the beginning of the last stage you were on.
