Game Rules
Objective:
The goal of the game of Blackjack is to have a hand of cards with a total value higher than the dealer's and not over 21.
Start:
Make a bet from your available cash, up to a maximum of $20000. Press UP and DOWN to change the bet amount. Then the dealer deals two cards to you and two to himself. You only see the dealer's first card until you have finished playing your hand.
Hitting & Standing:
You may then "Hit" as many times as you like to have a new card dealt to your hand. When you are satisfied with your hand, "Stand" indicates that you are done. The dealer then flips his remaining card and deals cards to himself until reaching a total of 17 or more.
Play ends immediately if your hand totals more than 21 (a "Bust") and you lose your bet.
Splitting Pairs:
If the first two cards dealt to your hand have the same value, you may split the pair into two hands and play them each in turn against the dealer. You must have the available cash to cover an equal bet for the new hand! In one round, you may split pairs a maximum of three times.
Double Down:
Another option immediately after being dealt your first two cards is to double down. This allows you to double your bet and take only one card from the dealer before standing. You increase the risk by only being allowed one more card, but the payout can be doubled!
Scoring:
You win if the dealer's hand is valued less than yours or if the dealer is bust.Your payout is equal to the amount initially bet. If there is a tie, the bet stays for the next round.
The cards score as follows:
- Ace : 1 or 11
- 2 - 10 : face value
- Jack - King : 10
A "Blackjack" is a special case that occurs when the first two cards dealt total 21 (an Ace and a 10 or face card). If the player gets a blackjack and the dealer does not, the player wins 1.5 times the initial bet.
The dealer draws from a stack of eight shuffled decks. When the stack has been exhausted, it is reshuffled and play continues.
Good luck!
